Johann Friedrich Herbart

A few years ago I did an interview with Nice Firmeza, a Brazilian art educator. She asked me if I knew the teacher Herbert. I said no, because I thought of Herbert Gudjons and he did not apply to her description. Nice sadly passed away, but today I'm sure she meant Johann Friedrich Herbart. His philosophy reminds of her maxims in working with children.
